Halfway to Christmas!

We got this, yo.

I would like to announce to the world in general that I, Anna Estelle Goodling, am now officially a Creative Writing major. Oh. Yea. That’s right. What now. \m/

I’m planning to declare my Dance minor tomorrow, when I actually have a consecutive amount of free time that’s longer than ten minutes and is also during the hours that the Dance office is opened (seriously, why do they close at 3:00? Are we dancers really that opposed to the idea of a nine-to-five shift? Every OTHER department office doesn’t close that early. -_-)

Registration is coming up in the first week or two of November. Don’t remember when, exactly, only it’s far too soon for my liking. I’m graduating a semester early, so my tentative schedule for the remaining semesters of my college experience are jam-packed and totally not flexible. Again, partially the fault of the dance department (certain necessary classes only offered Fall semester, every other year, and other needlessly complicating things like that. I guess if you can’t fight ’em, join ’em. Gosh I love dance.)

Also I am hoping to stay for May Term this year. Meaning I’d finish with school at the end of May, rather than the end of April. Super not happy about having to stay a month longer, but at the same time…it should be fun. =) Maybe. And it would make it ever so much easier (I think?) to graduate early. (Taethiel, this means you have to come visit me sometime after May. AND stay for a month. or three. Please? <3)

Also, I jumped ship (campus?) for the weekend and hitched a ride with my Roomie to Hillsdale to visit with my sister and the rest of the Fam this past weekend. Just got back last night. I totally missed Sacred Dance and my first Nutcracker rehearsal, and don’t feel bad about it at all. Hah. Mother Dearest brought me lots of epic food and a Ricey (don’t ask), Sister Dearest made me dance with cute guys (seriously though Em, that WAS totally awkward. *grins* but epic nonetheless), Father Dearest was all sappy and funny and epic and bought me more food (food is a major theme in my life…itz good), and Brother Dearest wore his Red Sox shirt three days in a row and composed sketchy poems with magnetic words on the side of a drink machine thing…

that part was weird.

Also I got to braid Katie’s hair and it was def a highlight. There are people here whose hair I can (and do) braid, but…they just aren’t as appreciative as Katie. They all can braid too, at least to some degree, and they all know their hair is awesome and don’t hesitate to say so, so they aren’t all impressed or appreciative or anything. But Katie has absolutely no idea how amazing her hair really is, and doesn’t really know how to do much with it I don’t think, so she’s always like *mind, blown*. It’s hilarious and awesome. I did a dutch (inside-out french) five-strand braid for her on Saturday (it was totally epic if I do say so myself) and a lace four-strand braid wrapping around from one side of her face across the back and down the other side on Sunday (her hair is so thick you can do stuff like that and it still look amazing). And she looked at them backwards in the mirror and was like…whaaaaaaaaa. O_O And it made me feel so epic. XD And it was fun. And awesome. And I rally like Katie and EMILY you need to get her to visit us again, ok? Ok. Good. And Katie’s hair is the thickest, most beautiful I’ve ever seen, anyway…Agh. I bet it weighs like fifteen pounds. 0_0 Ok maybe not quite that much. But it would if it was a little longer. 0_0

And I’ll stop raving about hair now and go do my homework so I can have some time (maybe) to do some NaNo-planning tonight…I need to name my characters. For loving names as much as I do, I certainly have a rough time with this part of the writing process. If anyone has any random suggestions, please feel free to drop them below in the comments. I’ll going to be writing semi-fictional memoir, so no whacked-out fantasy names. Any more normal sounding ideas, though, are welcome. Inspire me, my muses!

k that was weird i’m sorry.

Wal… Julie helped me name the characters for the modern novel. =P The names for me sci-fi one are typos, like Lioh and Sec and Ead. *grins* Just put whatever sounds good.

You. must. visit. O.0 as in, you don’t get an option. If you don’t, I’ll sic Cath on you. *bawls* why on earth was I such a scaredy cat on the forums?? Think of all the fun we could have had, killing people…

Lol. Typos make for great names, sometimes. XD Just not for real-life names. =P

I still don’t know where you live. How do you expect me to visit? I’m not gonna wander the earth asking people if they know a Marie who rides around on scorpions with wet-noodle-whips and stuff…that’d just be weird. and also, I didn’t do much on the forums my last couple years. I stalked them a lot, but didn’t post much at all. XD …I do miss them ever so much though…*sadface* and I miss doing RPGs. -_- Those were fun. If only I was brave enough to barge in on a meeting of the Geek Club here, I could probably join a real-life one. However, I’m not nearly geek enough to do that o_O I dun do video games or computer games or nerf or harry potter or pokemon or Sherlock or any of the other geekish things they does…I just does Doctor Who and Tolkien. And my Tolkien-thing is of a much more scholarly kind than befits a geek club anyway…I not a fangirl. I a dedicated scholar. *sigh* alas, there are too few of us, too few!

Ummmm. *considers* I spose I could mail it to you. Do you still use your gmail? Or not? :} You were on “WMMST” or whatever a lot. You didn’t blog much though… wise decision. I didn’t ever do the RPGs. =P Except for the Lotr vs SW one, and we had to shut that one down. 0=) That was totally Shift’s fault, he wouldn’t give up and submit to my elves and hobbits. And then he said he could use the force, and I couldn’t use the music of whatever-you-call-him.

Uh. I live on my gmail. Are you kidding me? Forums gone = gmail the New Black Hole of My Life. Except that nothing ever happens there so I spend a lot of time refreshing my inbox and staring morosely at my empty chat list…*koff*
However, even did I have your address, I wouldn’t count on my visiting in the near future. *cough* I also don’t have a car, or money to pay for gas or a plane ticket, and am never anywhere in the country other than Michigan or New England, and I dun have a TARDIS to get me anywhere else…*sad*
K, true. I really only ever posted on WMMST and the Status Update one. Those required no intelligent thought and no debating skills…usually o_O
*grins because this conversation must look like gibberish to any non-TPSers reading my blog* …of which, actually, there are very very few…XD
and that would be the music of the Ainur. But I’m guessing you are referring to Iluvatar. Who is not of the Ainur.

yea, um…last night was weird. XD

Hehe. I didn’t go home…just to visit my sister at her school. It was family weekend or something there, so I went down and the rest of our family came out. ;) So home kind of came to me…hehe.

Anna….you have convinced me that I do not want to be anywhere near by when you are exhausted/hyper…*is scarred for life after reading the above comments*
So you want “normal” names? Like, how normal? Because I know some pretty names that could be used in real life, but aren’t that common. Normal normal names: Umm, Connor, Aaron, Tyler, Andrew, C/Kaleb, Nate, Anthony, Jamie, Cole, Liam, Aidan, Adrian. Alyssa, Lily, Lillian Ellie, Sara/h, Allie/y, Annabelle, Lorraine, Lynn, Noelle, Elise, Rachel, Hannah, Clara, fruit of the Spirit-ish names (Joy, Peace, Faith, etc.), Megan, Willow, Rose. Not as normal names: Asher, Silas, Terence, Spencer, Hugo. Skye, Aster, Arabelle, Season names (Spring, Summer, etc.), Jaime, Opal, Serena, Elaina.

@Anna, Lol, I didn’t realize was “Umm” was listed like that. xD Maybe it’s short for…Ummergioni. He’d be Italian. Now you need to use it.
