We got this, yo.
I would like to announce to the world in general that I, Anna Estelle Goodling, am now officially a Creative Writing major. Oh. Yea. That’s right. What now. \m/
I’m planning to declare my Dance minor tomorrow, when I actually have a consecutive amount of free time that’s longer than ten minutes and is also during the hours that the Dance office is opened (seriously, why do they close at 3:00? Are we dancers really that opposed to the idea of a nine-to-five shift? Every OTHER department office doesn’t close that early. -_-)
Registration is coming up in the first week or two of November. Don’t remember when, exactly, only it’s far too soon for my liking. I’m graduating a semester early, so my tentative schedule for the remaining semesters of my college experience are jam-packed and totally not flexible. Again, partially the fault of the dance department (certain necessary classes only offered Fall semester, every other year, and other needlessly complicating things like that. I guess if you can’t fight ’em, join ’em. Gosh I love dance.)
Also I am hoping to stay for May Term this year. Meaning I’d finish with school at the end of May, rather than the end of April. Super not happy about having to stay a month longer, but at the same time…it should be fun. =) Maybe. And it would make it ever so much easier (I think?) to graduate early. (Taethiel, this means you have to come visit me sometime after May. AND stay for a month. or three. Please? <3)
Also, I jumped ship (campus?) for the weekend and hitched a ride with my Roomie to Hillsdale to visit with my sister and the rest of the Fam this past weekend. Just got back last night. I totally missed Sacred Dance and my first Nutcracker rehearsal, and don’t feel bad about it at all. Hah. Mother Dearest brought me lots of epic food and a Ricey (don’t ask), Sister Dearest made me dance with cute guys (seriously though Em, that WAS totally awkward. *grins* but epic nonetheless), Father Dearest was all sappy and funny and epic and bought me more food (food is a major theme in my life…itz good), and Brother Dearest wore his Red Sox shirt three days in a row and composed sketchy poems with magnetic words on the side of a drink machine thing…
that part was weird.
Also I got to braid Katie’s hair and it was def a highlight. There are people here whose hair I can (and do) braid, but…they just aren’t as appreciative as Katie. They all can braid too, at least to some degree, and they all know their hair is awesome and don’t hesitate to say so, so they aren’t all impressed or appreciative or anything. But Katie has absolutely no idea how amazing her hair really is, and doesn’t really know how to do much with it I don’t think, so she’s always like *mind, blown*. It’s hilarious and awesome. I did a dutch (inside-out french) five-strand braid for her on Saturday (it was totally epic if I do say so myself) and a lace four-strand braid wrapping around from one side of her face across the back and down the other side on Sunday (her hair is so thick you can do stuff like that and it still look amazing). And she looked at them backwards in the mirror and was like…whaaaaaaaaa. O_O And it made me feel so epic. XD And it was fun. And awesome. And I rally like Katie and EMILY you need to get her to visit us again, ok? Ok. Good. And Katie’s hair is the thickest, most beautiful I’ve ever seen, anyway…Agh. I bet it weighs like fifteen pounds. 0_0 Ok maybe not quite that much. But it would if it was a little longer. 0_0
And I’ll stop raving about hair now and go do my homework so I can have some time (maybe) to do some NaNo-planning tonight…I need to name my characters. For loving names as much as I do, I certainly have a rough time with this part of the writing process. If anyone has any random suggestions, please feel free to drop them below in the comments. I’ll going to be writing semi-fictional memoir, so no whacked-out fantasy names. Any more normal sounding ideas, though, are welcome. Inspire me, my muses!
k that was weird i’m sorry.
