I love it.
I still want to be a linguist.
Also, I wrote a riddle in Old English verse form meter whatever for my Tolkien Lit class. Here ’tis. Feel free to guess the answer. I think it’s super obvious, but then again, I wrote it, so maybe I’m wrong. Idk. Yep.
Also, the title is Elvish. \m/
Also, I spent an hour researching possessives in Quenya Elvish grammar when I should have been doing other homework.
Also, yea I’m posting at one o’clock in the morning. it seems to be my new bedtime. yay.
…and one more Also. I decided I absolutely love this verse form and want to write EVERYTHING IN IT FOREVER. ok maybe not quite so drastic.
Nalláma Tinúvielwa
I drown all earth without damp of water.
Enveloping everything, erasing reality,
Given form by full-wavering flow of bright air,
Entering the ears of every last creature.
I slip off bright strings, seeping through quiet,
Or out of a mouth made merry by grace.
To some I bring peace, perfect in calming,
To others, vibrating vigor in waves.
Yet more I make merely too downcast,
Lonesome of life these last have become.
All creatures I touch, casting my spell
Upon the heart of he who listens.
The one who knows my name hears me
Echo in ears made eager by memory.
Its a chicken!

To those of you guessing music: You’re correct! You win a pat on the back and a congratulatory piece of chocolate. …wait I ate all that. k, just the pat on the back.
to those of you guessing chicken: …No comment.
